Wonder wool research featured by 3sat Nano
Our research on an oil-adsorbing wonderwool was recently featured in a short contribution for the 3sat science program "Nano". The wool was developed by DEUREX company and ins able to adsorbe up to seven times its own mass in oil.
We use differently surface analytical tools to help understand, how this wool can take up and hold that much oil. The results should eventually als lead to even better materials.
