Ke Li wrapped up PhD
Ke Li recently defended his PhD thesis on two different lubrication systems that both reached a ultralow friction coefficient following rather different mechanisms.
In a first system a tribochemical reaction between certain diketone lubricants and steel sliding surfaces lead to highly confluent surfaces and ultralow friction. As a second system. surface-attached hydrogels showed a lubrication behavior comparable to natural synovial joints.
Ke now returned to China and started a position at Wuhan University of Technology. We will miss his profound expertise on German football and we wish him all the best for his future.
