News @ Polymer Synthesis Group

  • Juni 2019: We are currently looking for two PhD students. If you have a MSc in Chemistry with documented hands-on experience with organic and/or polymer synthesis (e.g. Master thesis in organic or polymer synthesis), please feel free to apply. Contact: Karen Lienkamp, lienkamp@imtek.uni-freiburg.de. Topics are: Synthesis, Characterization and Materials Properties of Bioactive and Bioinspired Polymers. The polymers will be either synthesized by ROMP or RAFT. After thorough polymer characterization (GPC-MALLS, TGA, DSC, 1D/2D-NMR, FTIR), they will be surface-immobilized and their surface properties will be studied (ellipsometry, AFM, SPR etc.)  Bioactivity will be tested by our collaborators, so don't be scared to apply - you don't have to touch biological assays, but you can if you want to! We are looking forward to your application!
  • January 2019: Wanted - Chemistry PhD students, Hiwis, Master- and Bachelor students. Most projects have a strong synthesis focus, but analytical/physical chemistry topics are also available. See our Jobs page for details, or contact Karen by phone or e-mail.
